I am a crew member working in the new Fox Studios complex in Dublin on this movie and I have just seen a rough cut and let me be the first to say it KICKS ASS! I am a big fan of the book and although they cut out heaps to make it down to a good running time of 112 minutes, you can still follow the movie good if you've read the book. Lawrence Fishburne is okay as Isaac and Jennifer Anniston looks HOT in red makeup (the Keraphi aren't bug-heads in this cause they didn't want to hide her HOT face). The cut I saw doesn't have all the special effects done yet (ie. the CGI Motley hasn't been inserted yet but Bryan Brown in his skin tight motion capture suit is just as good as Andy Serkis. I bet Motley wins best animated character at the MTV awards LOL!) and Lucy Liu is chilling as The Weaver, or the Black Widow as she is also known. Stifler is good as 'good thief' Lemuel who is kind of like Robin Hood but OMG The Slake Moths are pretty scary even if the CGI isn't finished yet! You will not want to leave the porch light on eva again!!! But Ashton Kutcher steals the movie as wingless birdman Yagharek who has come to the city because he had forgotten how to fly. The scenes where he launches himself of various buildings like Superman but crashes to the ground are Hilarious but I don't remember him being cast out from his clan for clumsyness - I think it was something else???? From the director of the Mummy movies, ANOTHER HIT!
